On your Bike – Photograph of the Day

Over the weekend we took a trip over to Wells, which is only around 30 miles from our home in Ilminster. The weather was typical spring weather, that is we had Sun, Rain and Hail, but this meant that the light had some magical qualities.

One of the photographs I took obtained Photograph of the Day at the Photography Cafe yesterday.

This is what the reviewer had to say.

Jane’s POTD has the requisite DOF for the composition as the houses are just as important as the bike. However, the drop-off in contrast not only promotes the main subject but also adds the sense of depth to the scene.

One of the feedback comments I had suggested removing the lamppost so the version here has had it removed.
