POTW: Little Donkey

[singlepic=977,320,240,,left] Much to my delight, Little Donkey has won the coveted Photograph of the Week at Photography Cafe.

Here is what I wrote about it:

Little Donkey was taken in Petra, Jordan, looking down from the Royal Tomb towards the Colonnaded Street.  There were donkeys all over the site,  as the local Bedouin rent them to tired tourists.  This one looked so sad,  I wanted to capture him against the backdrop of the ancient city.

We had a fantastic 2 days exploring Petra and I am delighted to have been awarded POTW for this image which, to me, draws together so much of my holiday memories.

It was taken on my Canon 30D with my Sigma 18-50mm lens.   As I always shot in RAW the image was converted and slightly cropped and adjusted.
