Bali Myna – POTD

Awards at the Photography Cafe often seem to come in batches or perhaps it’s just because I tend to post in batches when I am working on my travel books.

The image above was taken in the The Edward Youde Aviary in Hong Kong park. These little birds (Leucopsar rothschildi) were completely unfazed by people around them.

It’s such a shame they are a “critically endangered” species, mainly caused by trapping for the caged bird industry^{1^.}
