Walking back along a well worn pavement by the main road we spotted this rose flowering away for all it was worth in the hedge amongst the brambles and the cow parsley.

Continue readingA new walk for us along the River Isle footpath in lovely walking weather. With spring in full flush the Cow parsley was high, as we the stinging nettles. We saw an egret and the woods were noisy with insects and bird song.
Continue readingOur regular walk takes us up on to the Beacon with it’s extensive views across the Somerset Levels and beyond. We have been enjoying watching the lambs and wild rabbits who live in the hedge at the bottom of the field.
