Something different today for my winner at the Photograph Cafe, I love Papaver orientale or Oriental Poppies, this one was enjoying the sunshine at Tintinhull gardens when we visited on Saturday.

The bright sunshine (that we are experiencing in the UK at the moment) can often be a spoiler to a shot because of the harsh shadows it creates. But, in today’s POTD, Jane uses the shadows to show the depth of this close-up.
