I really love sweet peas, they just seem so ephemeral.
This example comes from my Father’s collection and was part of a bunch presented to me at the weekend.

John Keats wrote of them
“Here are sweet-peas, on tip-toe for a flight:
With wings of gentle flush o’er delicate white,
And taper fingers catching at all things,
To bind them all about with tiny rings.”
Using natural light from our north facing glass doors helped me to retain detail in the flowers and combined with a simple white background I felt this let the flower stand on it’s own merits.
