POTD: Make Ready

Make Ready Taken at an re-enactment day at Corfe Castle,  this image was one of the few with out modern people or fencing in the background.  So I was delighted to be awarded Photograph of the Day, for a fairly simply processed shot.  Taken at the 300mm end of my Canon 70-300mm hand held I was pleased to get a good sharp image and the length isolated the Musketeer from the background.

Reenactments are often difficult to take without the inclusion of modern items, so Jane went for the sensible option of isolating one performer. With the vignette surround (my guess to remove something modern) it has all the feel of a time gone by.
